Q: How long have you been Crossfitting?
A: Since around mid-2014

Q: What first drew you to CrossFit?
A: I was bored with my gym routine and did not really look forward to working out. I wanted to try something new, and hopefully, enjoyable (to the extent possible).

Q: What goals have you set for yourself in the next year?
A: I need to improve my squatting drastically.

Q: What is your favorite girl WOD and why?
A: Probably Isabel. I like snatches.

Q: What is your most hated girl WOD and why?
A: Probably Fran. I do not like thrusters.

Q: Why did you choose CrossFit PBA?
A: Initially, it was out of convenience – it was on my way home from work and the times fit my schedule. But there are CrossFit gyms every block or so now, so I stayed because of the coaching, members and environment.

Q: What has CrossFit meant to you both inside and outside of the box?
A: I look forward to the workout and competition, and also the friendships I’ve made.

Q: What would you say to push someone who is still on the fence about trying CrossFit?
A: I strongly believe that you should try something yourself to make an educated decision. If you tried it and it is not for you, that’s fine – it is easier for the others to get the equipment they need in less-crowded classes anyways.

Q: Tell us something we don’t know about you that you want people to know.
A: I love to swim and learned to swim was I was 6 months old. Therefore …

You get to write a WOD for the rest of the class as Athlete of the Month. Give it to us!

100 SWIM

Cashout: Hold your breath, underwater, for one minute, collectively (time to use all that ROMWOD breathing work).
